Stewardship

What is Stewardship?

Stewardship helps us exercise our faith and trust in God.  Stewardship is, us as God's children, working in partnership with him and each other to carry out God's plan. We, as members of Grace, participate in and support many ministries within our own church walls, within the community, churchwide and even worldwide. It is through these ministries that Stewardship is alive and thriving 365 days a year. Through our participation and support for these ministries, we carry out God's mission for us as Christians -- as Stewards.  Stewardship goes way beyond our financial giving and encompasses so much more like acts of caring, helping, sharing, teaching, learning, working together, networking, performing acts of responsibility, strengthening, and serving.  Our gifts are given to the glory of Jesus, our Savior.

As stewards we use the gifts that God has given us for the purpose of serving God and each other.  How is this done? Through ACTIONS.  Our actions are exhibited through many ministries such as our Christian Education Ministry.

This ministry includes actions of teaching by sharing our faith. We teach through our words, actions, attitudes and relationships. Christian Education involves actions of learning and growing in our knowledge and experience of God's work, nurturing our faith.  It is the "heart of the church", where the people of God, gathered in community, grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christian Education Ministry at Grace includes: Bible Study, Kingdom Kids, Youth Groups and activities, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Each summer, Grace invites children and adults in our community to join us for a week of fun, learning and adventure.  In July, we traveled back in time to visit the busy city on the Nile, ancient Egypt, without ever leaving Round Rock. We brought Egypt to Round Rock.  Each day, participants became part of history as they saw, heard, touched and even tasted what it was like to live in Pharaoh's empire. Before beginning bible school activities each night we enjoyed a nourishing light meal which supplied our bodies with lots of energy. Our tour guide throughout the week was Joseph, the son of Jacob. We followed Joseph on his journey from being a prisoner in Pharaoh's prison to being second in command at Pharaoh's palace and learned about Joseph's special abilities of interpreting dreams.  We explored the authentic marketplace shops where we created cool Bible time projects. We took part in the Pyramid Playground playing games like the mummy wrap and Egyptian hunting. We looked for God Sightings and built a pyramid in honor of our one true God.  We learned and sang Bible songs. We discovered more about how God was with Joseph in good times and bad. Each night we focused on a specific Bible Point and Scripture reading which was integrated into our activities for that evening. We learned that God gives us HOPE. God gives us SPECIAL ABILITIES. God gives us WISDOM. God gives us FORGIVENESS. God gives us a FAMILY.
